A brief history of NEF 2.0

I'm Eva from Escriña Diseño Gráfico, Alicia's colleague. It was she who told me that Gema was organising a "bohemian" networking group (that's what she called it at first). It was an in-person meeting place just for women, where we shared concerns, our own and other people's projects, and our experiences in the tough world of work.

Alicia would tell me all about the gatherings. They were wonderful, and those connections, which began as professional ones, fortunately became personal too.

Then the (much-mentioned) pandemic arrived and we shut ourselves away at home. Luckily the sessions carried on online; we didn't want to lose touch, and that's where I come into the story, because I started to get involved.

The pandemic was a time of change, and our NEF also evolved to grow in the way its creator, Gema, had always had in mind.

That was when NEF 2.0 was born. Those of us who make up this new networking group worked hard to make it fully professional: we now have a corporate identity, a website, a membership fee... a whole project that we feel very involved in and that we believe in.

We keep weaving our network, expanding our professional and personal contacts, enjoying this wonderful place of active listening, of sharing, of laughing and crying; in short, of living and of feeling free, heard, valued and loved.

We feel more involved in the world of work by believing in projects like this one, made solely by and for women. If these reasons don't seem enough to get to know us, there's only one thing left: see for yourself. Come to one of our sessions! You will always be welcome!
